When I found RemedyRanch, we were at our wits end. Our little girl would not stop attacking our new cat Lucas. Now, we keep them separate and at this point, we’ve had Lucas for almost a year. Giving one of them back to a rescue was not an option for us. Our little girl (Little Miss) was found on the streets of Flint with injuries so severe she almost died several times. She was always a sweet girl and when we saw Lucas on a rescue site, my husband knew he needed us. He was their longest resident and so broken down and shy. He is truly the perfect cat.
Well, ever since we brought Lucas home, we saw a side of Little Miss that we never knew existed. We even have a cat behaviorhist that was helping out, but she did not seem to stop wanting and actually attacking him.
We hit rock bottom when we returned home from our wedding and Little Miss ran by me and attacked Lucas. The attack was so terrible that she left claws all over his little body and face. He would not come out of hiding for such a long time and my husband looked at me and said that we need to find a home for Little Miss. I knew he didn’t mean it, she was our Little Girl, but the stress level with this was affecting every aspect of our lives.
At this time, God led me to RemedyRanch. I immediately brought them a sample of her saliva and we began the process. Little Miss was filled with parasites, Lyme, mold, etc. She was near the highest level of amplification, so we knew she was in a bad way. She is on her 4th round of treatment, and she is an entirely different cat. She is thinner, more agile, happier, and even sweeter than she was with us before.
We are gun shy to have them together, but we are getting there. She does not react when we place her next to him. We still hold her, but we will have them out together after this round of treatment is done.
If you are hesitant, do NOT be! These are things that we never thought were affecting her. She was eating, and going to the bathroom regularly; these are things that a vet would not have been able to determine through bloodwork. We are in such a better place with our babies and looking forward to having them together soon.
